Tommy and Michael talk boxing
Today I took part in the “Wish on a washing line programme” a fantastic movement where young people in care homes write down a wish in the hope it can be granted.
Tommy 'Sweet T' Jacobs, Professional Boxer
Michael 91 years young from Harrow served in the army and Boxed and continued to box until he was almost 50! Whilst serving michael boxed and won various championships In Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaya. Although never got the fight he wanted against his rival Jimmy pictured together in the last photo. Michaels wish was to have a boxer come in and talk about times in the squared circle. I had the most amazing time with my new friend talking about our shared love of this wonderful sport and his fond memories. I have promised after my next title fight in June I will visit again with my new title. Michael has never held a Professional Boxing belt and was over the moon to have a good look at my World Boxing Foundation European and international titles. 🥊
