Mike and Irene Taylor from Colchester Bowls Club in Ardleigh responded to Tony’s wish on the Wishing Washing Line to have someone come in and reminisce about bowls and share his interest (as Tony was an excellent bowls player). Mike and Irene came into Crouched Friars and met Tony before inviting him to their club open day which was held on Sunday 19th May. As soon as Tony saw the bowling green, he was keen to have a go. With the help of club members it was made possible for Tony to have quite a few goes at playing! It really was so successful and Tony remembered how to play so well. He also watched others playing so it was a wonderful experience for him. Tony is 91. Thanks to everyone for granting Tony’s wish!
