Residents came together to show off their art skills...
Care home residents from all corners of Essex came together at the Minories Pop Up Gallery in Colchester recently to exhibit their pieces in a unique and exclusive exhibition, filled solely with art from created by them.
Over five days, hundreds of people visited the exhibition which contained pieces from more than forty residents across six care homes, all lovingly created in the months and years leading up to the event.
Some of the pieces were for sale, and now hang proudly in someone else's homes!
Jade Fothergill, Minories manager said, "this is such a special exhibition, and something we haven't seen before. It's so good for a persons mental health to be able to create pieces such as these, and getting those creative juices flowing is an inspiration to us all".
