Care home residents and staff came together to celebrate The World Cup!
A fun day of all things football!
Last week, over sixty residents from seven care homes came together at the Colchester Sports Park to celebrate the Qatar World Cup! Funded and supported by the NHS and Colchester City Council, we were able to provide entertainment and physical exercise in a fun and effective way to everyone who attended.
There were hot dogs, Foosball tables, a penalty competition, crafting, football Top Trumps and even FIFA on the PlayStation!
Trophies were awarded to the winners of each event, but the winners overall were Crouched Friars, who received their fancy trophy, sponsored by Street Tag!
Our residents had SUCH a great time at the world cup event! Mike enjoyed playing FIFA for the first time ever and is now hooked! We were also fortunate enough to have one of the foosball tables donated to us, which is now in our leisure lounge for all the residents to enjoy! Thanks so much to everyone for their involvement...
