Care homes in the Colchester area came together on March 9th to take part in an inter-care home bake off.
Truly Scrumptious!
With thanks to funding from the North Essex and South Suffolk Integrated Care Board, eight amazing care homes and Butterfly Barn's Day Nursery attended our Colchester Bake Off on March 9th '23 at Foxburrow Grange.
The standard of the cakes entered would impress Paul Hollywood but the overall winner was Tall Trees care home.
Thank you to our judges Cathy Doyle from Colchester City Council, Mayor Tim Young and the Lady Mayoress, Peter Dutch from Colchesters anti loo roll brigade, @Ben from Hills Self Storage and Laura and Jim from Poppy Essex.
Thank you also to the wonderful Foxy Foxes choir for their beautiful singing and Hot Tin Roof for the wonderful entertainment; they had everyone up on their feet dancing!

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to host this event, it was wonderful to see the care homes come together and the joy in the room from the residents to the children from the nursery. The Foxy Foxes Choir also loved performing to everyone.
