Our Maldon Walk & Talk Sessions Started This Week
We were delighted that the sun had well and truly got it's hat on on Tuesday September 5th as he seemed to have mislaid it over the summer months! What perfect weather for our first Maldon Walk and Talk Session with the ladies of Boucherne.
11 residents were dropped off at the Hythe Maldon, accompanied by staff, family members and the family dog for a stroll along the promenade this week. We were also delighted to be joined by PC Rose Smith and her colleague PC Scott Smith who were really keen to join us and have the opportunity to speak with members of the community they often don't have a chance to interact with. The ladies of Boucherne also enjoyed their company, trying on Scott's hat!
One of the residents, Ann, brought along her binoculars to view her 'beloved' birds and another resident bumped into an old friend who joined us for the rest of the walk.
After a little rest and an ice cream, we headed back along the prom to the Lakeside Kiosk where we had some drinks and the residents enjoyed watching the children play in the sand before departing for home. A really wonderful day was had by everyone.
It’s about living life isn’t it

It’s been worth it (the pain) for such a wonderful day seeing my beautiful river again and the birds with my binoculars
